The best non-surgical facelift treatments in Wollongong and Orange

Many people today are seeking non-surgical alternatives to a facelift. Though surgical facelifts will help you achieve a younger look, they are an extreme and non-reversible measure which have a number of inherent complications in being surgically invasive major surgery. Here at Medical Injectables Orange, we are skilled in consulting with you on what dermal fillers will achieve the look you’re after, and we are experienced in delivering a variety of premium dermal filler brands and dosages to help you reduce effects of ageing and fatigue by plumping up strategic facial features.

In addition to dermal fillers, we have several other non-surgical solutions for skin rejuvenation, including anti-wrinkle injections, thread lifts, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), and fat dissolution. Book a free consultation with Medical Injectables to determine which of these (or which combination of these) treatments can empower you to present your best self.

Lip Fillers

Lip enhancement can be nicely achieved by dermal fillers strategically placed to plump and reshape the lips. This can help with gummy smiles, imbalanced lips, or to create that perfect pout.

Under Eye Fillers

It is very hard to project confidence when you look tired simply because you have perma-bags under your eyes. Dermal fillers help fill in those hollowed under-eye areas to give you a fresh look allowing you to regain that self-confidence in your appearance.

Cheek & Jaw Fillers

It’s a fact of life that the older we get, the more time that Gravity has had to take its toll. Other than living in an anti-gravity chamber, your best non-surgical treatment of sagging cheeks and jowls is to treat these areas with lifting dermal fillers.

For those looking to achieve a more masculine look, we specialise in masculinisation treatments that create chiselled cheekbones and a strong, wide jaw.

Chin Fillers

That little pocket of under-chin-fat can be a real personal battle that facial yoga just can’t win. Medical Injectables can help sculpt your chin to ensure every angle is your best angle.

For those looking to achieve a more masculine look, we specialise in masculinisation treatments that create a strong square chin and jawline.

Neck Dermal Fillers

A sagging or tired neck can be very distracting particularly when it contrasts sharply with a beautifully made up face. Neck dermal fillers can rejuvenate this large, visible area.

Hand Dermal Fillers

Hands get a lot of wear and tear, including significant sun exposure. Hand dermal fillers target precise points to restore volume and reduce skin creases and folds to create a more youthful looking hand that is smooth to the touch.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do dermal fillers cost in Australia?

The cost of dermal fillers varies dramatically between clinics. 1ml of dermal filler in Australia can cost as little as $200.00 and as much as $1000.00 or more. This wide variation in price depends on how long you want the filler to last for (with longer lasting fillers typically being more expensive), who is performing the filler administration (doctors are more qualified and therefore more expensive than nurses), the brand of filler, and the type of clinic (boutique and more specialised clinics are often more expensive than large chains).

Are dermal fillers worth it?

Dermal fillers certainly can make you look and feel younger (otherwise why would they be so popular?!). In the hands of an experienced operator, they can improve the texture, fullness, elasticity, and appearance of skin to restore a youthful look. Aesthetic nurses and doctors can use dermal filler to rejuvenate skin that has sunken in response to gravity, hollowed with loss of fat, or creased from muscle movement. The result is often the reversal of wrinkles, filling fine lines, and plumping of deeper skin layers.

What's the difference between dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?

Dermal filler is an injection of hyaluronic acid, which is a clear, jelly like substance that is naturally produced by our dermal tissue. As we age we lose hyaluronic acid, leading to sunken and less elastic skin. Dermal filler restores some of that lost hyaluronic acid to give back a youthful look and texture to skin.

Anti-wrinkle injections are injections of a molecule that is a naturally occurring bacterial protein that decreases the contraction of the muscles below the skin that are causing the wrinkles and creases to appear.

In short, dermal filler can be used to re-model the structure of the face, while anti-wrinkle injections are generally used to correct wrinkles caused by muscle action.

How long do dermal fillers last?

The effects of dermal fillers can last anywhere between three months to two years. It depends on the product being used, where on the body the product is being injected as well as your metabolism and lifestyle. If you tell your aesthetic practitioner how long you want your product to last for, he or she will likely be able to choose or suggest a suitable product for you. Typically, longer lasting fillers cost more, and have a slightly thicker texture due to higher degrees of cross-linking in the gel. The increased cross-linking makes the dermal filler gel harder for your body to break down, meaning that it stays in your skin for longer.

Do dermal fillers ruin your face?

One of the key benefits of dermal filler is that it is reversable and disappears with time. So it is incredibly unusual for someone’s face to be permanently disfigured because they used a dermal filler. However, in extremely rare circumstances, someone can have an allergic reaction, get an infection, or the dermal filler can block off an important blood vessel. If these complications are not treated and fixed, then permanent disfigurement is possible, although very rare and has never happened with our clinics. This is why all dermal fillers need to be supervised and authorised by a doctor (in the form of a script and consultation), and you might want an experienced medical practitioner nearby, to save your face if things go wrong.

Do dermal fillers age you faster?

Dermal filler is usually made of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a clear, jelly like substance, that is naturally produced by our dermal tissue. As we age we lose hyaluronic acid, leading to sunken and less elastic skin. Dermal filler restores some of that lost hyaluronic acid to give back a youthful look and texture to skin.

However, when large volumes of filler are injected it is possible to stretch the skin, leading to thinning of collagen fibres and sagging.

So when dermal filler is used well, and placed in the right location by an expert injector, then it slows or reverses the signs of aging. But when overused, it can have negative effects.

Is it safe to buy dermal fillers online?

The short answer is no; it is not safe to buy dermal fillers online.

Dermal fillers are classed as both “medicines” and “medical devices” in Australia. This means that it is strictly illegal to buy, sell, distribute or administer dermal fillers without the appropriate licence. Buying, selling, or using dermal fillers that you have bought from the internet could result in substantial fines or court action being taken against you.

Furthermore, if you are not buying through an authorised administrator, you have no guarantees if the product is legitimate or if it is even within the use-by dates. If you administered a dermal filler you had bought online on another person, you could be charged with a criminal offense for harming them and illegal, unlicenced administration.
