Back that Butt Up!

Some people have been blessed with glorious bottoms. Others need a little posterior scaffolding.

What is a thread butt lift?
Similar to a cheek or jowl lift, a thread lift for the buttocks involves placing suture material into the skin to lift up fallen tissue. It gives fantastic results for moderately fallen buttocks that are not too heavy; so the material can bear the weight. Results are instantaneous!

What is a liquid thread butt lift?
Liquid threads are the same material as textured threads but in liquid form, so the bio-stimulating action of a thread lift is created. When liquid threads are injected into the tissue of the fallen tissue, collagen is stimulated. As tissue regrows in the affected area, it lifts up to restore the youthful appearance of what has been lost with time. Results are built up over time, with typical treatments occurring one treatment per month for three months.

Frequently Asked Questions About Butt Lifts

What happens after a thread lift?

Side effects from a thread lift may include soreness, swelling, bruising, and minor puckering of the skin. If the threads are placed in the appropriate deep tissue layer, you should not feel the threads after the inflammation goes down in about five to seven days.

How many times can you have a butt thread lift?

There is no limit on the number of times you can have a thread lift procedure done. But they are not usually needed more frequently than every 2 years, however as results wear off you may want to be treated sooner.

    Can thread lift damage nerves?

It is theoretically possible but unlikely, as the threads are being placed with a blunt cannula that moves nerves aside if they are encountered.

Can I sit down after a thread butt lift?

Yes, you can sit down after a butt thread lift. In fact you can return to your normal day, with just a few adjustments for the first 24-48 hours:

    • Avoid pressure exerted on the buttocks. Sleep on your side or front.
    • Drink plenty of fluids, avoid alcohol.
    • Avoid strenuous activity for 2 weeks. (This includes gym, running, swimming.) Light exercise / walking is ok after 48 hours.
    • Avoid any activities where treated areas may get contaminated (i.e. sauna, steam rooms, beach, gardening, cleaning, swimming) for at least 48 hours post procedure.

    If the area is tender:

    • Apply a cold compress on the treated area if required post treatment.
    • Paracetamol may be used for pain relief.
What's the difference between a thread butt lift and a liquid thread butt lift?

Butt threadlifting involves the delicate positioning of long, textured, absorbable threads, that are able to grip the subcutaneous tissue beneath the skin, and provide pull and lift in the desired direction. In this way it is a non-surgical alternative to a butt lift. Typically butt thread lifts will show immediate results, reaching their maximal effect at 3 months, and lasting 6-12 months, making it an economical and effective choice.

A typical treatment is 1 treatment per month for 3 months, where results are typically seen at the 3 month mark.

In both cases, there is virtually no downtime, you can get back to your daily life immediately.
