Under Eye Filler Injections

Want to look as awake and vibrant as you feel?  It is very hard to project vitality when you look tired simply because you have perma-bags under your eyes. Dermal fillers help fill in those hollowed under-eye areas to give you a fresh look allowing you to regain that self-confidence in your appearance. Looking younger can also make you feel younger and sexier.

The eye area is such a critical part of the face to have treated because over time your under-eye areas, also known as tear troughs, naturally become thinner, which can then cause shadowing giving the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

Medical Injectables offer the best under-eye dermal filler injections in Wollongong and Orange to give you back your confidence and get your sexy on!

Eye Bags

Eye gels, eye creams and under-eye concealers are useful to a certain extent, but at some point, the concealer needed looks and feels more like war paint, and it doesn’t change the actual problem of bags under the eyes, even if the concealer can change the colour.

But you don’t need to jump to eye surgery just yet! Dermal fillers are a non-surgical alternative to extreme eye surgery which requires general anaesthetic and several days’ recovery time. Dermal fillers are almost entirely composed of a naturally occurring molecule called hyaluronic acid, which stimulates your own collagen growth below the skin to give it elasticity and structure.

The goal of dermal filler treatments is to precisely restore the hyaluronic acid where it is lost, and use it as a volumiser for deep creases. Perfect medium-term solution for bags under the eyes.

Under Eye Treatments

There are two ways to treat under-eye bags with dermal fillers:

1. Plump up the cheek volume – Over time, as cheek fat starts to lose volume from ageing, other areas of the face can also be affected, particularly the under-eye area which no longer has a robust cheek filling in volume. Under-eye fillers can replenish the upper cheek to re-support the under-eye area and reduce the look of dark circles or bags under the eyes.

2. Fill in the under-eye bag area directly – If your cheeks are already a good volume, and it is just your under-eye that is hollow, then dermal filler can be injected into the under eye area to fill out the area and reduce the depth of the bags.

At your consultation with your Medical Injectables practitioner, we will discuss your personal needs and recommend the right combination of filler type and injection location to achieve the results you’re looking for.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Do Dermal Fillers hurt?

It is common to experience light discomfort, bruising, tenderness and redness which are all normal symptoms post procedure.

What are the risks of under-eye dermal fillers?

The vast majority of patients do not experience any side effects and the risks are minimal. There are some common and uncommon side effects that can occur, however effects vary from person to person.

    Common side effects include:

    • Redness usually resolving in 24 hours.
    • Swelling in the treatment area which resolves within 5 days.
    • Tenderness may persist for up to 2 weeks.

    Uncommon side effects may be:

    • Lumpiness due to product migration.
    • Itching in the treatment area.
    • Bruising which can last 7-10 days but may last longer.

    Extremely uncommon side effect:

    • Rarely, the filler can occlude an artery and needs to be immediately reversed. Without reversal, blindness is possible.

How can you tell if someone has under eye fillers?

When done well, to achieve a natural look, it us usually impossible to tell if someone has had fillers. In fact, filler use is probably far more prevalent that you think it is, its just that most men and women in the community have a subtle and natural look.

When not done well, too much tear-trough filler can make the space under a person’s eyes look puffy, and make them appear to have a squint.

We have never had this issue at Medical Injectables. This is a good time to remind you of our Satisfaction Gurantee.
