Cheek Filler and Jawline Filler Injections

Want an overall facial refresh without the risk, cost and downtime associated with surgical facelifts? Cheek fillers and jaw fillers may be just what you’re looking for to achieve a youthful effect on the cheeks or to reshape your jawline for either a more feminine or more masculine look.

As we age, we lose volume in our cheeks due to loss of fat and bone reabsorption. Dermal fillers can replace the lost volume in the cheeks to help you return to a plumper, youthful shape of the face. By lifting the mid-face, cheek fillers have the added benefit of improving lower areas of the face as well, such as the nasolabial folds between the nose and the mouth.

Both men and women use dermal fillers on the jaw to adjust the structure and shape of the jawline. Men generally look to achieve a more masculine and angular jawline, whereas women often want the opposite look – a less angular, softer jawline.

Whichever cheek or jaw reshaping effect you seek, your trained practitioner at Medical Injectables in Wollongong and Orange, NSW is able to achieve it. We take the time to listen and understand in order to deliver the results you want using Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) listed, high quality cosmetic injectables.

Get Cheeky

All our dermal filler treatments at Medical Injectables in Orange and Wollongong use Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) listed, high quality fillers, however see our pricing table to the right for the length of stay that each filler type has.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How much do dermal fillers cost in Australia?

The cost of dermal fillers varies dramatically between clinics. 1ml of dermal filler in Australia can cost as little as $200.00 and as much as $1000.00 or more. This wide variation in price depends on how long you want the filler to last for (with longer lasting fillers typically being more expensive), who is performing the filler administration (doctors are more qualified and therefore more expensive than nurses), the brand of filler, and the type of clinic (boutique and more specialised clinics are often more expensive than large chains).

    Which filler lasts the longest?

Dermal fillers differ in the concentration of hyaluronic acid in them, the degree of cross linking, and how long or short the strands of hyaluronic acid are. Some dermal fillers also have peptide or electrolyte additives in them. Highly cross linked dermal filler, at a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, tends to last longest. It is best to speak to an experienced doctor about this technical information for each brand of filler, as many are very similar with only subtle differences, and most clinics stock a range of fillers with different longevities.

Can you tell when someone has had cheek or jaw fillers?

When done well (like at Medical Injectables in Wollongong and Orange, NSW) to achieve a natural look, it us usually impossible to tell if someone has had fillers. In fact, filler use is probably far more prevalent that you think it is, it’s just that most men and women in the community have a subtle and natural look.

Does massaging filler break it down?

Massaging fillers will increase the blood flow and movement of fluid around the filler. This can result in them breaking down faster. Until the filler is well integrated into the tissue, excessive massage can also flatten them, cause them to migrate, and lose their effect.

Your aesthetic practitioner might tell you to very gently massage your fillers once a day for the few days after your injection so that it integrates into the tissue smoothly and evenly, but not to excessively massage the fillers so they migrate or break down.
