Why don't anti-wrinkle creams work?
Anti-wrinkle creams do not get to the core of the issue which is extended muscle contraction; they do not relax the muscle. If a cream contains collagen or hyaluronic acid, unfortunately, these molecules are too large to pass through the keratin surface layer of the skin to reach the dermis and epidermis, where the collagen and hyaluronic has been depleted with age. Some creams that claim to “stimulate” collagen growth, must necessarily contain small molecules that can penetrate the skin. Most creams don’t.
