Cosmetic injectables empower you
Dr. Django Nathan has been practicing cosmetics for five years while pursuing his training as a rural generalist and studying his PhD in bio-nanotechnology.
As a junior doctor he stood out from his cohort; winning both intern of the year and resident of the year in 2016 and 2017 consecutively. He then moved on to full time research and aesthetic medical practice, but returned to Westmead Hospital in early 2020 as a medical registrar in Sydney during the pandemic. He continues to see patients in general practice, consults to various aesthetic companies and start-ups, and can be booked directly to perform your treatment through Medical Injectables.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle treatments are injections of a naturally occurring bacterial protein that decreases the contraction of the muscles below the skin that has been causing the lines to appear.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are almost entirely composed of a naturally occurring molecule called hyaluronic acid, which is naturally produced just below the skin to give it elasticity and structure.
The goal of dermal filler treatment is to precisely restore the hyaluronic acid where it has been lost, and use it as a volumiser for deep creases.
What is the difference between anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers?
Anti-wrinkle injections are injections of a molecule that is a naturally occurring bacterial protein that decreases the contraction of the muscles below the skin that are causing the wrinkles and creases to appear.
Dermal filler is an injection of hyaluronic acid, which is a clear, jelly like substance that is naturally produced by our dermal tissue. As we age we lose hyaluronic acid, leading to sunken and less elastic skin. Dermal filler restores some of that lost hyaluronic acid to give back a youthful look and texture to skin.
In short, dermal filler can be used to re-model the structure of the face, while anti-wrinkle injections are generally used to correct wrinkles caused by muscle action.
How do thread lifts work?
The treatment uses long, textured polydioxanone (PDO) threads. The threads are inserted beneath the skin with a hypodermic needle. The threads are then tied together and pulled upward to achieve the desired lift.
Are Fox Eye thread lifts permanent?
Fox eye threads will show immediately and reach their optimal look at 2 weeks. Depending on the person and number of threads used, they last for 6 months to 1 year. At which time the filaments start to be dissolved by your body. Typically repeat treatments are not required for 1-2 years.
If necessary, fox eye threads are reversible, unlike a face-lift. PDO Threads can be dissolved with Radiofrequency (RF) if required. An RF device will dissolve the threads by heating them enough to degrade them.
How much do anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments cost?
Anti-wrinkle treatments range from $70 to $499+, depending on size of area being treated.
Dermal fillers range from $329 – $649 per ml, depending on product concentration used.
At what age should you get lip fillers?
This really depends on you and what aesthetic look you are aiming for.
For example, if you are born with thin lips, and you are looking to have them filled up to create a plumper, more pleasing look, this is unlikely to change without treatment. Most clinics will inject the dermal filler in 18 year olds and upwards, with parental permission being needed for under 18 years.
How long do lip fillers last?
It depends on the type of filler you use. Entry level fillers typically last for 6 months whereas thicker, premium fillers tend to last 18-24 months. We will discuss the filler options available to you at your consultation.
Are PRP injections to counter hair loss worth it?
When you inject platelet-rich plasma into the scalp, the cells in your hair root are awoken. PRP therapy results in hair restoration by stimulating the growth of new hair from previously dormant follicles, strengthening and thickening your existing hairs.
If you’re suffering from male pattern baldness and you’d like your hair back, then PRP hair restoration is worth it for the vast majority of patients. Ocassionally we encounter someone who does not respond, but this is certainly the exeption rather than the rule.
Is micrografting hair a permanent hair loss treatment?
Like any hair follicle, new hair growth resulting from micrografting has a lifespan and may gradually stop producing the same density of hair as the person ages. That said, if we’re dealing with hair loss that is hormone related (as is often the case with male pattern baldness), grafted hair extracted from scalp tissue that is less impacted by these hormones will prove more resistant.
